A flat dish that traps water is the fastest way to destroy a quality bar of soap. Soap left sitting in standing water between uses turns soft, dissolves unevenly and can last half as long as it should. The grooved design lifts the bar off the surface and lets water drain completely, so the bar dries between uses and stays firm.

Olive wood is one of the densest hardwoods available, its tight grain structure gives bacteria and moisture very little surface area to penetrate. It also contains naturally occurring polyphenols that have antimicrobial properties. Because it is finished only with a natural protective oil and contains zero synthetic sealants, we recommend a quick rinse and air-dry if soap residue builds up. To keep the grain looking vibrant, you can rub it with couple drops of olive or coconut oil once every few months.
